This report provides an update on Ericsson mobile infrastructure strategy at a time, mobile broadband is finally under way. We believe that Ericsson is well positioned to the different time lines to ensure that operators will adopt LTE for the world to accommodate. Ericsson has managed to secure deals with several LTE leaders such as Verizon Mobile and TeliaSonera. Selected by the U.S. operator, and with the acquisition of Nortel’s CDMA and LTE assets, Ericsson is well positioned to tap the opportunities of migration LTE 3GPP2 operators. While a number of CDMA operators are leaders LTE, HSPA, many operators are going to be in less of a hurry to LTE. This is certainly not an issue for the Swedish manufacturer to sell their large leverage UMTS / HSPA to HSPA + installed base software in the meantime.
